An invitation from Dundul Raptenling Monastery
To the Most Precious and Venerable Jewel,
Through the boundless kindness and compassionate aspirations of our supreme and incomparable guide, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, together with His Holiness Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche and many other great masters, the precious teachings of the Buddha in general, the Nyingma tradition of the Early Translations in particular, and especially the Dudjom Tersar lineage, are flourishing and spreading throughout the world more than ever before.
Inspired by this extraordinary blessing, Dundul Raptenling Monastery began the construction of the sacred Zangdok Palri — Glorious Copper-Coloured Mountain — temple and its sacred contents during the auspicious Fire Monkey Year of 2016, a special year dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava.
Therefore, on the auspicious 11th day of the first Tibetan month of the Tibetan Royal Year 2155, the Male Earth Monkey Year, corresponding to 6 March 2028, we respectfully and joyfully invite you to join us as an honoured guest for the Grand Inauguration and Consecration Ceremony celebrating the completion of the Zangdok Palri Temple at Dundul Raptenling Monastery, the principal seat of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche.
With deepest respect and countless prostrations,
Nyingma Dundul Rapten Ling Monastery
The temple

Lineage & monastery
Dundul Raptenling Monastery is located in the Phuntsok Ling Tibetan Settlement in Odisha, India. It was founded under the vision of His Holiness Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche to preserve and transmit the Nyingma tradition and, in particular, the precious Dudjom Tersar lineage.
For generations, the monastery has supported monastic education, ritual practice, prayer ceremonies, sacred arts and the preservation of the lineage. The completion of Zangdok Palri represents an important new chapter in this continuing activity.

Carrying forward the vision
Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche is the current President of Dundul Raptenling Monastery, and one of the founding directors of the Vajra Lotus Foundation. A devoted holder of the Dudjom Tersar lineage, he has dedicated his life to preserving the sacred teachings, ritual arts and living wisdom passed down from Guru Rinpoche and the great lineage masters.
Since assuming responsibility for the monastery in 2010, Rinpoche has guided Dundul Raptenling through a profound renewal. Under his leadership, more than one hundred young monks have received shelter, education and spiritual training. With deep devotion he initiated the construction of Zangdok Palri — now more than 80% complete.
The ceremony
The ceremony will celebrate the completion of the Zangdok Palri temple and all its sacred contents. The gathering is expected to include consecration rituals, prayers, offerings, teachings and other traditional ceremonies led by lineage masters and the monastic sangha.
The complete program will be announced as preparations are finalised.
